this is the brief for my media product, this outlines my aims, objectives, goals and total spend of what i am trying to achieve and what the team and the public should expect from us.
i then went on to make a handful of logos i could chose from for the event, this is important to us as it is the first thing the public can come to expect from us and what its all about, for example i have made my logos very sports related, in this instance its football as that is what the main sport the event is about.
I created a website using wix to allow the public to gather more information about the event, this allows people who have any questions to find answers without needing to individually answer the same things to people who could have questions such as, where is the event located? does the event require an entry fee? what are the age ranges? and so on.
i then went on to make an instagram page, this is used for sharing multiple pictures live of the build up, what to expect and also has a messaging feature we can utilise for any information we may have missed out on the website.
we made a rough mind map of ideas we had about the event itself and how we could stick out from others, we put multiple ideas around that could or could not work giving us a wider verity of ways the event could end up turning out.
i then went on to create a risk assessment, this is essential for every event as you have to outline every possible danger or issue we could face, therefor giving us more time to prepare for the worst if need be, we have to be ready for anything at anytime.
we created a location sheet for anybody who isnt sure the exact whereabouts of the event. this gives exact directions on where you can find us and saves any confusion for any party involved.
before the event, we went to the location it is being held and took some photographs of people playing with permission from the individuals and Walton lifestyles astro turf. the people playing in the picure will be taking part in the event so it gives a stronger representation of what the event will be like.
we made sure to look into the legal and ethical issues before the event as these can be some of the more challenging issues we can face, from the food we serve to the drinks we sell, it can be offensive in many ways if everybody involved does not feel includes and welcome. this is why we made it clear that we would sell a verity of food and took breaks for people who may or may not be fasting at the time.
we then decided to take another look at the logos and redesigned them to 3 that most complimented our event. these 3 capture the look and vibe we are looking for along with accurately showing what it is about, along with giving a clear showing to the name of the event to avoid confusion of any kind.
i created a short movie trailer about the event to show what to expect when coming to the event. it showcases the area it will be played, the goal sizes and all common information you may need. you can also see the logo can be a better way for kids to take the information in then looking through websites and instagram pages.
this is a rough first sketch of the trophy the winning team will get, all participants will get a participation medal for taking part though so nobody feels demoralised or left out.
